This product is a “Digital Detox” smart alarm clock designed to improve sleep hygiene. Unlike traditional alarms, it functions primarily as a high-fidelity “Sound Machine,” capable of playing long-duration, soothing audio files (such as white noise or meditation tracks) to aid relaxation. It features a soft, integrated night light and a clear, dimmable display. Application Scenarios: Targeting young adults who suffer from screen fatigue, the device is designed for the bedroom to replace the smartphone as the primary alarm. By providing essential wake-up functions and relaxation sounds in a dedicated device, it encourages users to leave their phones outside the bedroom, reducing late-night scrolling and promoting a healthier, more restorative sleep environment.
Minewing served as the comprehensive hardware partner for this client, a consumer electronics company specializing in Industrial Design.
Engineering & Integration: While the client provided the ID and firmware, Minewing executed the PCB Design and Internal Structural Design. A key challenge was Hardware-Software Integration; our engineers worked closely with the client’s team to debug the system, ensuring their firmware ran perfectly on our hardware architecture through multiple prototype iterations.
Winning Trust through Quality: During the Project Management phase, the client visited Minewing to discuss tooling costs. Initially, they found our pricing higher than other factories and hesitated. However, after a second visit to tour our automated PCBA factory, they were convinced by our professional process controls and quality standards. The client famously remarked upon leaving, “If I start mass production now, how many weeks will it take?”—choosing Minewing’s Mass Production Capability over lower-cost competitors.
The product launched with a highly successful crowdfunding campaign, securing support from over 2,040 backers.
Market Expansion: Following the crowdfunding success, the client has successfully transitioned sales to their own Direct-to-Consumer e-commerce store and is currently expanding into third-party retail channels.
